Gay Ann Arbor student defends teacher

New York Magazine recently shared this incredible video of a very well-spoken Ann Arbor teenager defending a teacher in a neighboring district.

With a level of maturity most adults can't muster, 14-year old Graeme Taylor addressed the Howell school board in defense of  Jay McDowell. McDowell was suspended without pay for disciplining a student wearing a Confederate flag belt buckle and making anti-gay statements on "Spirit Day," the national day of remembrance for young people who have taken their lives after anti-gay bullying and abuse.
