NOH8 takes off the tape

A new video from the NOH8 Campaign shows a number of celebrities and well-known advocates speaking out against anti-gay bullying and discrimination. Not the least of which is Cindy McCain, who openly states her opposition to husband, Senator John McCain's, position to ban gays from the military.

From Cindy McCain:

"Our political and religious leaders tell LGBT youth that they have no future... They can't serve our country openly... Our government treats the LGBT community like second-class citizens..."

It's a powerful message from at least one of the McCains. Let's hope some of her compassion and reason rubs off on her increasingly hostile and belligerent husband.





In all, this is an impressive and important cast of people lining up to speak out against anti-gay bullying and discrimination. Known for it's popular and widespread photo series of duct taped mouths to reflect LGBT and ally voices not being heard, this outspoken video is a welcome change, and reminds us what we have to say is worth being heard.
