House leaders vote to defend DOMA
According to The Hill, House Republicans have decided to defend DOMA in the Second Circuit court. Led by House Speaker, John Boehner the party-line vote was 3-2 in favor of defending the federal law that defines marriage as a legal union between a man and woman. This comes in response to the Obama Administration's decision that it would not defend the discriminatory law that now faces challenges in New York and Connecticut.
