Angry moms want Ellen fired

An organization ominously named One Million Moms is ticked off at their favorite department store, JC Penney for hiring out lesbian talk show host Ellen DeGeneres as their new spokesperson.

From MSNBC:
"Funny that JC Penney thinks hiring an open homosexual spokesperson will help their business when most of their customers are traditional families," the million (or so) moms write on their website. "DeGeneres is not a true representation of the type of families that shop at their store. The majority of JC Penney shoppers will be offended and choose to no longer shop there."
One Million Moms is an off-shoot of the rabidly anti-gay American Family Association. The parent organization did not respond to requests for comment.

If JC Penney isn't careful, the furious mob of moms will decide to buy their jeans elsewhere.

  1. hahahahahahahahaha I like what you did there at the end. These ladies sound ignorant, not just because of their homophobia but also the fact that they REALLY think "the majority of JC Penney shoppers will be offended and choose to no longer shop there." Let's just wait and see if that happens...

  2. Shame on those moms. I hope their kids come to the dark side because we have cookies!!! Also, shame on them for treating jcpennys like that. What are you teaching your children other than to hate those who lead a different lifestyle. When did God die and his hiring company decide to replace him with a human? Last time I checked he would have the final say on judgement day!!!!!!! Shame on you people!

  5. Since when do any spokespeople represent the rest of us? Not many of us are actors, models, comedians, etc. I personally have NEVER considered a spokesperson's sexual orientation before making a purchase. Do they look good in the clothing? Yes. Who they spend their PRIVATE FAMILY TIME with? NO!!

  8. Some in the spiritual arena of thought accept as true that they "must stop" the "gay agenda, whatever that might be. Of course, there are folks who are very obstinate in the GLBT community about certain issues such as gay marriage and they demand to be heard and are vocal on the following stage over this debate. When I read the gentleman's essay arguing that no one is born gay, I certainly understood where he was coming from, as he felt as if the ""gay agenda" had come too far, and so, he is just as adamant about pushing back now.
